was this recent?? would love to be barebacking right now... instead, we're in 4x3's!!
as for the shot, the colors seem a bit off? maybe just me, but i'm seeing semi-turquoise water near the horizon and a brownish/green wave face. understanding the sand underwater and light hitting wave face, it's rare to see the dramatic change from color to color (in my experience). also, try and keep your horizon straight.
thanks for sharing!

Warm water in FL...trade off is very few waves, if any at all.
I agree with Jaewhy that the color seems a bit off and horizon needs to be straightened out. I would also crop out or clone out the half of a sailboat in the upper right corner.
Always love to see surf shots in here,
Thanks

Yes the water in this section tends to do that from time to time. It is weird but i thought it looked cool. Also it may be where the sandbar is as well. For the horizon I shot this with my 70-200 with no tripod. On a family trip to the beach and happened to catch some surfers that day.

Here is one from the Red Bull invitational last year. The horizon is off as well and shot in mid day.

surfing in Maine in November takes a certain breed not me thank you.I took this with a 50 D 70-200 2.8 with a Canon Ef2x extender 1/320 at f/8.0 ISO 800 as you can see it was a stormy day and I hand held it.
