Haven't posted in this section for a while.... I'm probably a chicken cause my images suck :-P. I had to share this one, I want some opinions.
I think this is one of the best shots I've ever taken. I look as photography as art, and art, by definition, is a way to express feelings. I think this image expresses a lot!
Is it just me? Does it suck?
BTW it's soft and noisy on purpose.

Hope you like.

Chris,
Yes. I definitely feel it. This shot express a lot of feelings. I really love it and wish I could have a shot like this. Congrats! BTW, is it a crop? If so, can we see the full Pic?
Again, excellent work!

Agreed, this is a fantastic and artful image.
Cropping thoughts: there's a lot of cheek on the left; perhaps it would be better to cut some of it out. I'm a bit bothered by the eye on the left face. I'd either like to see a bit more on the top, or crop the eye out completely. (I did the latter by scrolling the image, and it's still successful. The final decision is yours, of course.)

Thank you fellas, I'm glad you see what i see.
Leorooster, it's only cropped from the bottom a little bit, so no major composition changes.
gkuenning, i wanted to avoid perfect symmetry, that's why there's more of one than the other faces. As for the eye, I think it plays a very important part in this image, I won't crop it out. I can't show more of it because that's how the pic was taken. Techically, this is an about mediocre shot. But it tells a story, and that makes it great the way I look at it. It's that susbtle smile... of course it wasn't a posed shot, you can't pose stuff like this.

I have to agree there is a lot of empty space to the left - I don't think it matters about "perfect symmetry" because the area of interest is so small the eye naturally goes to that area.

Indeed, that eye have a very important part in image. First time I've saw it I was thinking about simetry myself. But after that looking again I've seen...
That closed eye makes my image complete.
My image about her loving him, and dreaming beside him...
Also, not showing him eyes make me see him with eyes opened looking far away and thinking to the future...
This photo leave place for interpretation and that's why I like it.
I hope I was clear (in English ;) )
All the best Chris

thanks for the input all :), I appreciate the ideas. I tried playing with the crop, and I still like it like this, if i crop too much it becomes too "crowded"
hollow, EXACTLY! That's exactly what I want everyone to see when looking at this picture. That is what I see.
Thanks again.

I don't know about others, but the whole photo and its mood is about the eye.

I like the image as is. I think it would take away from the shot if it was a tighter crop. I'm not sure my eyes are drawn to the guys face. more the nose of the girl to the guys cheek. The empty space to the left definitely adds to the picture for me. Nice job!

Feihung08, here's the link http://www.cmuntean.net/images/jun11bea1.jpgHey thanks a lot cmM, I really appreciate that..............unfortunately it didn't help much. There's something about your site that our firewall just doesn't like here, and since I have no power to mess with it, I'll just have to wait until I get home to see it. :(
