Does anyone have experience using portable storage and viewers with the new Rebel XTCR2 RAW format? I've read some of the previous posts, but found nothing specific to the XT. I am currently looking at a Flashtrax XT, or possibly the Epson P-2000, however finding the Epson in stock anywhere seems to be a problem.
I have seen a few others that claim they support CR2, but being new to Canon digital, I am not that familiar with the differences in RAW formats between the various Canon Digital SLR's.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!

Most of the storage that takes Flash media will be able to copy .cr2 file for storage. The Compactibility factor only comes into play in the P-2000. The P-2000 will allow you to view the JPEG part of the store file not the RAW part.

Think of the RAW format as being a digital negative. It needs to be Develope with either DPP or a third party Software like RAWshooter (free right now thru PixMatic). To my knowledge there is two RAW format CRW and CR2. CRW was the old version and the CR2 is the new version. The version of RAW is not important to you because you can't change the version of RAW you can use.

Thanks to both of you for your answers and information! I just ordered the Flashtrax XT and was never able to find a P-2000 in stock anywhere other than eBay...
Sorry for the redundancy in posts... guess I didn't search thorougly enough :(
