Since the focus is on the leaf, I probably would have left this one in color. Or, if your preference is to go for a B&W, I would have liked to see the focus on your niece.

The focus makes this more a picture of a leaf being held by your niece for me too. It would be the same in color, but the overall image may be nicer depending on the colors in the shot. If you like it who cares what I think though :)
