The sky at 2 am

Here in northern Sweden you don't really get a dark sky anymore in the summer (on june 21st it's the longest day of the year). It had been raing during the evening, and I was sitting inside and doing nothing (well surfing here and writing a bit) and I looked out, saw this awsome colored sky.

Problem is, I live in an area where there's lots of tree's and houses, so I couldn't get a clear view of the sky. So I had to improvise and then decided to photograph our very common mountain ash against the sky. So look at the colors, they are the cool ones.... :D

At least I thought it's nice with the colors and the branches against that cool sky.

Well, it's a sunrise shot.... at 2 AM! :D

But yeah, I agree... it's the context that makes the sky more appealing.

Thank you!! It was actually a member of this great forum that told me to get out a 2 am in the morning when I said "oh, that sky is gorgeous" and she said "go out!" so I did. I'm so easily manipulated. :D

I lived in Norway for 18 months and I can tell you those northern skies sure can be nice. And the low sun is such a delight for a photographer.
