Any suggestions on the best way to cleam my 100-400mm would be appreciated.

I noticed some spots on my images today when using that lens against a blue sky.

More than likely, the spots are on the sensor and not the lens.

Hmm, no clue how to clean a lens, but the spots could also be your sensor. Might want to clean that as well. Which, I also don't know how to do. So, I guess we can both learn from this thread huh?

Old way:
Use quality Lens cleaning solution or High quality Isopropanol Alcohol ( I use Optic Prep Wipes). Wrap quality lint free lens tissue on to cuticle stick (The ones use for pushing cuticles) dip into your choice of solution and in circular motion apply solution to lens. Do not apply excessive pressure. Once you cover the entire lens. Use a clean dry lens tisue to polish the lens in circular motion.

Just learn this one:
Get a lens pen.
Use brush on lens pen to remove dust.
Follow enclosed instruction from lens pen.
Very easy.
Cost under $10.00
