do you look for retail package from good seller or just best price no matter what?

I got mine from Onecall 1329 - 100 rebate = 1229 (US warranty....)

Buydig.com is fairly competitve. Make sure your best price is from a reputable and authorized Canon dealer.

Be careful about shopping around for pricing. Make sure you check the details and extactly what you are getting for the great sounding deals. Alot of the dealers will have great pricing, but the software will not be included, batteries, etc.. B&H has been very competative and does not pull items out to bring the pricing down.

Buyer beware.

Be very careful, it sometimes cost more to fix a bad deal than to go to a trusted vendor in the first place.

My local camera shop has both new and used 20D's in stock. http://www.allenscameras.com I picked up a Digital Rebel/300D used, complete in the box with all accessories, today, for $449. I think the price on the used 20D I noticed was $1099. I'm pretty sure they ship anywhere, and if you aren't in PA there would be no tax.

Ditto. Be careful. But too many folks think B&H is the only reputable dealer. As other forum members can attest, Buydig delivers on or before the promised delivery date, delivers the complete Canon package, and doesn't hassle customers with phone calls or emails. While their selection may not be as extensive as B&H, they are usually cheaper. As I say, they are a Canon authorized dealer. Check the feedback on other threads... or www.resellersratings.com (http://www.resellersratings.com)

I promote this retailer so strongly because they are competitive and professional... and I know what it's like to deal with a bad retailer (buy.com:evil: )

B&H is good too... but usually higher in price.

I paid $1334 at Gateway. I ordered a computer and noticed that they sell some Canon stuff. I asked on customer chat if they would price match. The guy asked me who. And I said Dell had the Kit onsale for $1449. The guy said I can beat that. $1334 + I get the $100 rebate for the D20 and elceapo kit lense. I am sure they made some of it up on the computer cost. But was thought it was pretty good deal. I was going to order it from a shop on pricegrabber.
