Hey people... can anyone help me with these 3 quick question about filters?
I would greatly appreciate it.

Question 1
Does brand make a difference. the B+W cost a lot more than Hoya which costs a lot more Ritz's brand Quantaray and General brands .. A LOT more..
So I know the glass in lenses make the lens does this apply for filters as well?

Question 2
what's the difference between circular, linear and warm linear, warm circular then
kaesemann? ahhhhhh
What should I go for? I'm going to be shooting everything, from cars to nature to people etc...
(my main event is a ferrari drive event in Fontana this sunday!)

Question 3
I want to get one for my Canon EF-S 18-55 mm and my Canon EF 75-300 mm USM
for the 18-55, i need to get the 55 and the 75-300 the 77? Is that right?
Boy am I confused.

I guess if someone could tell me wich polarizer filters to get for my 2 lenses, that would be awesome. Best filters for the buck! :)

Thanks a lot in advance.

1) yes. brands make a difference, multi-coating makes a huge difference. go with B+W MRC or hoya super multi coat (SMC).

2) circular/linear refers to the way a polarizer works. i won't go into the details, but for your xt you should get a curcular polarizer. warm polarizer just combines a warm filter with a polarizer. kaesemann polarizer is a ruggederized construction. unless you will be shooting in extreme conditions, you probably won't need it.

3) both the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM and the 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM lens have a 58mm filter size.
