Digital IXUS i focusing problems...

Hey guys. I need help with my cute little camera. Only about half the time I am taking a photo with my digi, it turns out perfect. The other half, on the other hand, turn out blurry or out of focus. The camera itself is in top condition and I'm using a 512MB card, but I have the hardest time getting a clear picture with my digital camera.

Does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone have any tips as to how I can rectify this? I want perfect photos, damnit!

i had this problem with my sd400, but i found out the problem was a fingerprint smudge on my lens. is your lens completely clean with no visible smudges or scratches? if so, get a lens cleaner and lens wipe. clean the lens and you should be taking clear pictures again. hope this helps

I am quite sure that it is not a lens problem, but rather, a problem with the whole "process" itself, if you will. Like I'll hold the capture button to allow the lens to focus, but when I snap the photo, it comes back blurry after it's finished. Do I have to wait a while for the camera to focus, or... what? I have no idea if I'm functioning this properly.
