I got an e-mail from "my digital discount" with 32GB CF cards by A-data that supposedly are UDMA 6 and read at 80MB/sec for $110. Forum search results are not too current. Any one using these? Any bad experiences? Seems a little too good to be true, but I sure like the price.

I use the GMonster 533x in 32GB ($149) got 4 of them. It supposed to write at 50MBs and read at 85MBs..... I have no way of testing it, but they are darn fast, and I can say they are awesome........

They have the A-data 16gb 533x CF card this week at Fry's, for $59.99. Was wondering, if this is a good deal? Has anyone used these cards yet?

Yes, I recently purchased one of these UDMA Adata 32 gb cards from MDD about the beginning of Jan. It was closer to ~100$ though. It works very fast downloading the large RAW files form the 5DII. You need to make sure you have a UDMA equipped card reader though. So far am very happy with it. Not a video user.

Did it get held up in your camera though, writing off the buffer, or you never noticed?

I ran a few tests for your edification. 5D II (21 mp) at max continuous frame rate of ~4fps.
RAW 11 shots, then it started to slow down. This is close to the manual spec of 13.
JPEG Large I just held down the shutter and got bored after 100+ shots without slowing down.
Movie HD mode, shot for over a minute continuously and got bored.
Again the downloads with a UDMA CF card reader were really impressively fast compared to 4 and 8 gb non-UDMA cards.
It seems like it is working pretty well.
Have you heard anything that would make you concerned?

Yeah, it was a crappy review on Newegg by a user. It had the same issues as another card I read about on here as well, so i was worried a bit. Your tests seems to confirm that this appears to be a pretty kick ass card. Thanks for running that test Mike!
