The 'mother to be squirrel' is really nice...
What lens did you use? Some post-processing?

And what bait do you use? ;) never saw one that close...

I used a Canon 300mm f4 L with a Canon 1.4X extender making it 420mm f5.6.
While I wasn't that close to him for this picture I do have no problem getting close enough to use short lenses too:D .

Just basic post production editing, curves and USM in PSP9.

I see how you them to get close... invite them for a glass of wine, and they come back over an over again... ;)

We don't have squirrels here that are that tame/unfearful (perhaps it's better so...).
I think the nearest I saw was about 20 meters away running up a tree...

Ron, they are all great shots. The 1st one is very creative. Interestingly, squirrels in NY are a lot bigger than the one in pic #3.:)

Thanks. actually picture 3 is a chipmunk but our squirrels aren't much bigger. What you have in NY are eastern grey squirrels while we have American red squirrels which are considerably smaller than the greys further south.

Love 'em. We've got some monster greys up here. What area is Murillo in? I've never heard of it.

Great shots! Makes me sort of miss the little devils that hang around my parents' place. Not too many squirrels or chipmunks in my neighbourhood except for a couple black ones.

Thanks, Murillo is a small village near Thunder Bay Ontario Canada, I actually live in the country but Murillo is my post office.

Well I'm a good 8-hour drive south/east of you then - Gateway to the North. Are you too far up for greys then? Just reds and chipmunks?

Love the shots. I spent many summers as a kid taming chippies and red squirrels. They're cute but they can become quite the nuisance. Again, love your pics.

I'm guessing somewhere near the Soo:D. So far we have no greys but I understand they are expanding their range further north due to global warming. That would be unfortunate since they might wipe out the reds.

We don't have many problems with the squirrels or chipmunks, MC loses the occasional bulb but it's a small price to pay for watching their antics:D.

Whoops. No. I guess it would be roughly 14 to 16 hours s/e then. North Bay.
