Ok...I'm a pretty good sized fella (about the size of a LB on the football field). For those of you shooting College or NBA basketball, are any of you using a floor chair to soften your stay on the floor for the few hours you're there?

I'm looking at this one ( http://www.amazon.com/Crazy-Creek-Comfort-Chair-Green/dp/B000296Y3Q/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=ICL8H0V1RMBZV&colid=1U896C6U7TYQU ) anyone recommend this chair or any others? Please include a link for your chair...

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Note..don't really care for a side pocket for water bottle or anything like that..but I shot a b-ball tournament last year and after about 45 mins without one or any kind of padding (my legs and back) were through!!! Never again! The next night I sat on my $5 knee pads I picked up from The Home Depot that I use for football.

I would use knee pads before I used a chair. I dont need either right now as I am still young.
It seems like that would just be something else to keep up with ya know? It seems like it would be too bulky for college or NBA ball as you are limited to your area on the floor.

QuanJ, I use the same seat for NBA and NCAA hoop I have the long back version, I did add a gel cushion one made for wheel chairs made a big difference, another chair popular with alot of hoop shooters is this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/486056-REG/Versa_Flex_SS1_SS_1_Sport_Seat.html

I'm with you, QuanJ and looking for anything to soften the body against sitting through basketball games on the hardwood. If it's not my knees in constant contact with the floor, its a wallet in the butt, or a leg going to sleep on me anymore!

I'll hang around your thread and see if anything of interest in the way of 'softening the blow' shows up.

thanks for posting.

I bought a chair like that 2 weeks ago for basketball but not for butt support but rather back. It didn't really help my butt too much but def. my back, allowing me to sit back and be supported.

The Versaflex chair in the link above is what I use and LOVE it!! It can easily be broken down and has a carry case so is very easy to transport. Being a large guy myself, it fits my big butt well and is actually very comfortable.

Thanks to all who replied! the medline gel foam cushion is nice...(looks like it)...looks like the ones the I've seen the video camera guys use...except they stack about 2 up on each other. I'm considering the cushion and that chair together! Thanks again!
