I apologize if this has been asked before. I see that Dell has this monitor for $269 in their small/medium business section of the site. Does anyone know if I have to be set up as a business to purchase it, or can I purchase it as an individual and have it shipped to my parent's place of business? I'm not trying to scam Dell - just wondering. I'm having trouble finding other places to buy the monitor from. Thanks.

Why don't you call them and try to negotiate a price for it. Worked for me about 2 mo ago. Asked them what would they offer me to purchase today. They got the price to 270.00 w shipping. Worth a try.
Hope this helps,
Ron

Check this thread for details. You may be able to get it for $212 shipped if you catch the right sales person.

Christa (whose phone# is in the above quoted thread) was extremely helpful & nice and I have this monitor sitting on my desk for 3d day now. $212+tax, free shipping (ended up being around $225 total), don't need a business account. Nice monitor, too.

Assuming these guys work on commission, Christa is going to have a very successful November/December because of this site alone!

Thanks all. I did finally dig up the info on Christa in the big long thread, and she emailed me back saying she would call me Monday and arrange purchase for $212. Yes!

thaking: I ordered mine on Wednesday (12/2) and they gave me an estimated delivery date of 12/9. How many days did they estimate for you, considering you ended up getting yours in a little over 3 days?

Add me to the list of those who picked this one up courtesy of Christa. VERY helpful and answered all of my questions almost instantly through email

Count me in as another Christa groupie. I spoke to her this morning, and it couldn't have been easier. My ETA is 12/15 but I hope it gets here sooner!

Received my 2209WA this afternoon. Hooked it up and sadly discovered that I'm pretty sure my graphics card (ATI Mobility Radeon 9700) is too old to support the 1680x1050. All I can get it to is 1280x1024. Anyone confirm/disprove this fact?

Either way, the monitor is great and much better than the ASUS TN panel I got rid of last week. I have no doubt that once I get my new computer (+ graphics card) it will be a fantastic display

Per FedEx my monitor is supposed to be on my porch. I just ordered it on Monday. Christa is amazing! $212 and it arrived in 2 days! Can't wait to get home.

Try the newest drivers for the card, it should work with resolutions up to 1920x1200 via dvi, or 2560x1600 via VGA
