Couple of shots from the recently completed fall soccer season. Now U-9, so it's slowly starting to get more like real soccer :)

1 Warm ups.

2 Concentrating on the ball.

3 Anyone see the watch? We didn't until looking at the photos after the game.

4 Tounge out to help with control

5 Game over - either excited that they won in the rain or that it's time for the snacks!

Are they not allowed to wear watches? Sorry, I don't know soccer. If illegal, was anything done after?

I like the series though. Great composition

Referee should have caught that at check in and made her take it off

Nice shots - what lens is that?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Not allowed jewelry of any kind as it can be dangerous when there is contact between the players. Everyone missed it at the game and only saw it when I posted pictures online.

At this age it's parent refs, and some of them struggle with the basic rules let alone catching things like this. Should be better next year when we get refs assigned and as you say they should catch it before the game starts.

Lens was the Sigma 120-300/2.8

I love #5. The facial expressions are priceless. At that age, in most action shots, the face is looking down glued at the ball.

You're right - probably 95% of the action shots I have show the head down concentrating on the ball. However did get one or two of them with heads up while dribbling.
