Try www.calumetphoto.com
They at least discuss renting and their various store websites will give you a list (pdf) of equipment available as well as the cost. I do not know if they will ship nor have I dealt with them personally.
Good luck,

Thx Etaf, but NY a little bit far from me, I'm in TX :) but thanks anyway, at least I know there are some services like this.
the reason, I'm shoting my best friend's sister wedding and my lenses won't be enough, so I would like to have L's 2.8, but right now can really buy it, may be renting will help.

Have not tried them myself personally but I believe some members of the Texas Photo Forum (http://www.texasphotoforum.com/) have.

I rent lenses all the time from Calumet. great guys and good prices. the 7-200mm 2.8 IS is $35 a day. Rented the 85mm 1.8 to take shots of the family.Nice when you plan. They have the 600mm too (you have it make a CC deposit for the retail price of the lens though)

how much is the deposit usually on a lens like the 70-200mm 2.8 IS? it seems like renting is the way to go if you only use a particular lens like 3 or 4 times an year.
