Nice,. I'd love to see those trees some day!
FYI;
Sequoia and Redwood are both "sequoias" and both "redwoods" ...
The giant sequoia has a column-like trunk, huge stout branches, and cinnamon-colored bark. Also called "Sierra redwood" and "Big Tree," its scientific name is Sequoia-dendron giganteum.
The taller and more slender coast redwood, sequoia sempervirens, is more conifer-like in profile.
The coast redwood is the world's tallest tree, attaining heights of 365 feet.
However,.. in terms of total volume of wood, the giant sequoia is the world's largest tree. The giant sequoia is also one of the fastest growing and oldest trees - some are around 3,000 years old.
Sequoias grow naturally only on the west slope of California's Sierra Nevada range. Redwoods grow naturally only in a narrow strip along the Pacific Coast.
Mariposa Grove in Yosemite has Sequoias....

Lovin both of them. Have you checked out this digital blending thing. Ive tried it with trees and it works well. If your original was in raw you can blend it with a ore properly exposed sky.

I think I found this on a thread here

I didn't know that. I never fail to learn something interesting on this site. I've got to get down there - soon. Thanks CDS.
BTW - neat pictures. Big trees, little deer.

I live at the base of Sequoia Nt'l park and usually get up there a few times every couple of years. Those giant trees make me awestruck every single time I see them. It is just not something you can describe but feel when you stand before them. Nature is amazing!
