View Full Version : Is this pic properly sharp? 7d + MA 70-200

After realizing that I needed to calibrate all of my lenses to work properly with my new 7D, I think I have the 50mm and the 28-70mm down. As far as the 70-200 2.8 I'm still not so sure. Here's a pic I took this afternoon. Could you please let me know if this is soft or not? I meant to focus at the kid with the red shirt's face. To me it kind of looks like the focus went more toward her shoes and the pavement... Idk, after tweaking back and forward all of this Microadjustment I don't know if my judgment is right anymore...

The kid with the red shirt's FACE? That kid's face is totally cropped out. The girl next to her looks sharp. As do the feet. Damn sharp.

It looks sharp enough but it's hard to judge a resized picture, a 100% crop will show if it's really sharp.

With this photo.the focus from foot to face works for me.I do see that the focus is the shoe.but hey.what a great face in natural light you have.:D I like this alot. I might even be tempted to crop out the helmet looking thing on the side.

I think the photo is sharp enough to pass, but if you are looking for the focus.you already know its the shoe.lol.but I love the photo anyways.

How about a crop?
