Have a few friends that lent me a hand today by letting me take pictures. Shot for about 6 hours. Using my schools Sigma f/2.8 18-50mm Wide Angle.

What can I improve on? As an aspiring photographer in high school, I'd love some criticism! This was my first time shooting cars. It was defiantly an experience and I loved every bit of it. Personally, I think the G35 had my greatest shots. What do you guys think?

Please note! Today was my first time working with the panning method, out of 100 shots… I got ONE that was half decent. Everyone has to start some where!

Shot at:
Farrari Owners Meeting - Franklin, Tennessee
Nachez Trace - Franklin, Tennessee
Downtown Franklin - Franklin, Tennessee

Good light on #1, but I disagree on the framing, background, reflection in the side, & the pole growing out of it. I like #3.
See the links in my Sig and...

normally on the F360 shot, i wouldn't have liked that negative space but its nice seeing the road go back in the distance.

Seems to be alot of dust on your sensor in the first one ..

Rest of the shots are nice, like the Ferrari! :D

The light post in the first shot is really growing out of the car, either clone it out or select another angle next time.

Also you might want to take a look at my car photography tutorials (http://www.carphototutorials.com/) for some more tips and trick to get the most out of your shots next time.

The Ferrari shot is great with the road in the background, but I would have put the car in the other direction so you saw the other side, with the nose pointing left ... so it has some space to drive to ...

In two first SLR shots you have a person in the background, but in front of a clean sky, this would take you about 30 seconds to clone out, but would improve your shot tenfold ! Always double check the background in your shots.

Thanks, I've tried the sensor cleaning function but nothing gets rid of that. I've take good care of my equipment so i have no idea what is up. Although, it doesn't matter so much… I'll have a D50 pretty soon. I'm so over the ole' XT. Haha.

Yeah I didn't spend much time at all editing these. It would be smart of me to go back in and fix them up.

Thanks for the tips… I'll take a look at your tutorial as well.

i really like number three but have him get out of the car next time... always bothers me to see somebody through the windows if the car isn't moving. Overall very nice shots
