Thank-You, Pekka. Was wondering how this was going to stack up to my beloved Epson 2200.

Just set up my R2400. It's awesome. B/W on semi-gloss is great. On Watercolor it's even better. No tinge of color with the 3-black system. Colors aren't noticably better than the 2200--but I've only printed a few images so far.

BTW: Had LOTS of trouble setting it up--installer couldn't find needed files. Easy fix, though--once tech support figured it out (1:30 on the phone...). Emal me if you are getting one and I'll send you the fix.

I am trying to find a review that offers a bit more comparison to the R1800. One thing seems clear - the R2400 offers better BW prints. But I don't do much BW so I would like to know about the other differences.
The R1800 seems to get generally great reviews, but would I be better off soending a few hundred more and getting the 2400?

Please post additional reviews as you become aware of them. I'm leaning heavily toward a purchase, but still want more user reactions.

So I bought my R2400 last week and have printed at least 20 photos on all of the different media types. AMAZING. JUST AMAZING. The prints that come out are just beautiful...and the colors are dead on.
I bought mine on PCNation. Very quick transaction and really cheap ($781.32 and FREE shipping).

pcnation has a dangerous score at resellerratings.com and in the past ive heard bad news coming from that store.

I have the 2200. Love it but the 2400 promises great BW prints. I have it on my Christmas list already. I hope the price comes down a bit by then.
How many of you than own the 2200 are going to upgrade to the 2400?
