I took this using my 5DMII and Canon 24-70 with my B+W 10-Stop ND filter on. Four minute / 1 Exposure HDR. It is of the Portland Head Light in Portland, ME. Thoughts?

Amazing; I would like to see the original just for my own curiosity! I love those long exposures and that composition is excellent!

Normally, I'm really not a fan of HDR but you did a really nice job with this one. Only negative comment is that there looks to be a fair amount of halo around the lighthouse itself where the roof and stack meet the clouds.

Overall, I'd have to say I'm a fan; nice work!

Really nice shot neighbor! What time did you set this up?? Where did you stay in the area? (or did you leave 3 plus hours earlier)?

I got up at 4:15AM to shoot the sunrise at Old Orchard Beach with two buddies. It took about 2 hrs from Cambridge, MA. We ended up walking around Portland for the rest of the day and prepped for sunset at the Lighthouse. I just jumped the fence and made my way to one of the surfaces that brought me as close to the Lighthouse as possible while still maintaining some height over the water.

That's great! This is what HDR is all about. (Even though it's technically not HDR.)

Now this one is outstanding, very nice tonal range. Good for you to experimant with a 10 stop filter.

It's a lovely shot, but I don't understand why it would be HDR as there is just the one shot. I mean, Isn't it just a single, long exposure shot?

not "technically" and HDR, but ABSOLUTELY amazing, slight haloing around buildings but wow great pic.

Can't wait to view this on something other than my netbook...

Awesome! Simply said.

I'd hang that one on my wall. Nice job.

This reminds me of something my dad would call a nice big buck during hunting season..."wall hanger". Lol! I may start using that and see if it catches on.

This shot is definately a "wall hanger".
