you should darken them a tad bit, and sharpen them a touch (levels + unsharp mask) and you should have better pics.

Adobe Lightroom...easy to use and very useful!

Heres my edits

I adjusted the levels and saturation. I cropped it, and also blurred the background a bit. I also added a high pass filter, to bring out sharpness ( I like it better then the unsharp mask)

Here I did the levels, and saturated the blues more. Again I used a high pass filter.

Of course it will always look better if you edit the RAW's yourself. As there will always be a degradation in quality, of editing re-sized photo's.
