Hey all. I had some luck this past weekend and wanted to share. Both photos were after sunset.
First is about 25 minutes after sunset, still lots of red to my left. If you're familiar with the location, it was taken from the South Bank at Friendship Park on the waterfront.

Second photo was taken about 35 minutes after sunset, when most of the reds were gone. Taken from South bank on the waterfront, behind the fountain, also from Friendship Park.

C&C welcome. Thanks.

Very nice. I have some similar shots from 1981 (pre-Landing) and from just a few years ago. It is a great place for photos, IMO.

Its gorgeous there at night. Very safe feeling next to the restaurants and whatnot. Good parking, free, and short walk over the bridge (or park under the bridge for a fee) to get to the landing. Excellent place, IMO. You should try it out.

I have always had to pay to park under the bridge...
But I have only gone to this parking spot during the day.
I know you can park for free on fountain side by the brewery
Maybe I am missing something...
Nice captures

I went back to reread my comments, and while I understood what I wrote, perhaps I could choose my words better...
Under the bridge next to the Landing, you need to pay, as you have in the past.
The free parking I was referring to was on the San Marco/southbank side of the Main Street bridge, next to the brewery and Friendship Fountain, where you could then walk across the MS bridge, as you pointed out.
For what it's worth, it was very safe again during the NYE fireworks, and I didn't see any cops. The only two parks and recreation folks were next to me on the pumphouse (where the fountain is controlled) for the fireworks show - yeah, I know people :-)

I haven't had any problems in this area at night.
I wouldn't want to go into the area closer to where I work (around main & state st)
seems like some of the hobos left town during the gator bowl.
