Don't ask Don't Learn. So when you take a landscape/Seascape from a very low position,:o apart from lying down (very wet in UK) what do use to assist you please.
I no the obvious tripod for stability but you still gotta look through the view finder to compose your picture & check your settings.

To get a shot that I feel is a "must have" I will lie down in wet grass, or wade out into a stream. It isn't always comfortable and many people may look at you funny or as if you're crazy, and well, they're probably right.

I found the angle finder here:

Or, this zigview seems quite handy too:

I've always wanted to buy a pair of those knee pads the skateboarders use, for the times I need to take a low angle shots. Currently have a garden seat cushion in the trunk of the car for that purpose.

How about toting along some plastic, and laying that out and then getting on top of it? It was what we were going to do at Weeping Rock, but we decided to go horseback riding instead. LOL... but it would've worked.
And a change of clothes in the car is a great idea.

I'm sorry for the error, bachscuttler.
Here is the link of the canon website:

Just scroll to the last paragraph of the page, and click the "Lenses, Speedlites and accessories booklet pdf" link for downloading the file.

Either wrapping up your decent camera with protection. It's up to you what brand you use. ;)
Or you could also just use a cheap point and shoot, like I did once, and have no fear of breaking the camera.
This shot here was taken with my old Sony V1, just holding a finger width from the pond water. Just small ripples, but so close gave an interesting result.
