Just took these sunday of my friend and her fiancee' and was wanting some C&C on them.

I do not use a flash but instead use the natural light.

Good Shots!
A littl PP work can make them better.

#1 looks likes WB is off. Looks a little warm for this shot. Also you could crop it tighter. The houses in the background are a bit of a distraction. Go for shallower depth of field to get the houses blurred out.

I like #2 Better. The highlights on his shirt are a bit blown and you could have gone for shallower DOF on this one too.

Seeing as these are friends. I would redo these.keeping in mind now your backgrounds, time of day. clothing etc..whites and blacks are tough.try blues in their tops maybe?

The font isn't doing anything good in the top photo;)
