Is this Cassiopeia in the center just below mid point? And if it is--is Andromeda on the far right side?
Just trying to learn, mighty cold here tonight, already 3deg.
Thanks

Pic coming--sorry

Wow that sucks after downsizing

Thta looks like M45 the Pleiades . I've posted a picture of Cassiopeia constellation with M31 the Andromeda Galaxie to the south of Cassiopeia . This is a str chart fromCartes Du Ceil program . Right now Cassiopeia should be about overhead depending where you live . Here in the USA it's overhead about 10:00pm approx. .

Thanks for the reply, the shot was fairly overhead, I was thinking it was to far North for Pleides by using my Night Sky Map. So much to learn, did I mention it was cold here in Southern Utah.

I think that's Perseus up in the top left, isn't it? Which would mean Cassiopeia was a bit further up. But I'm not checking Stellarium at the moment to tell for sure.

Does take a while, learning the constellations.
