I'm putting together a Business Plan for Equine Photography. The hardest part- coming up with a name ;)! So give me your suggestions! Thanks!

Use your own name:)

I can't think of any names but here's a funny slogan:
"Don't go hoarse over learning to take pictures of your horses..."

Welcome to the forum.

I use "Alan Myers, Photographer".

There are a lot of good reasons to use your own name... and probably a few not to, but I can't think of anything this early (only on my second cup of coffee).

There are a lot of good reasons to use your own name... and probably a few not to, I would agree, depending on potential for people to misspell it. KirasHorses might be another option, or HorsesByKira.

Sorry, I have to add:

They Shoot Horses, Don't They?

Maybe not a good one, now that I think of it.

Close the thread, we have a winner. I thought Mane Frames was gonna take it, but I was mistaken.

Love it! Though it might not go over well with potential clients.

I suggest sticking with a generic name. If you start photographing other type of events, or portraits, you don't want to pigeon hole yourself into an equine only name.

What about...Pegasus
(My name means horse)

Found this on Wikipedia...

Theatre

In the Broadway production of Xanadu, protagonist Kira rides on Pegasus to Mount Olympus during the number "Suspended in Time."

Since this thread is still active...

"Horse Sense Photography" or "Horse Scents"?

A friend of mine has a company called "Heels-Down Horse Shows"

Um, how about "You Can Lead A Photographer to Water..."

Or "Rein or Shine Photography"

"Three Blind Mice Photography" oh wait, that doesn't have anything to do with horses, does it?

Some of the riders at a few events just call me "Camera Dood" (Western riders, of course.)

I'm thinking about getting it printed on a t-shirt or a baseball cap.

It's either that or "The Camera Whisperer".

But more seriously...

Do you specialize in any particular type of equestrian photography?

Western, Trail Trials: "Dusty Trail Photography"

Dressage or Strided: "High Steppin' Photography" or if you work with a partner "Pas de Deux Foto"...or just about anything related to dance.

More general: "Barnyard Graphics"

Cross Country or HJ: "Splash Photographics" or "High Hurdles Photography"

Rodeo, Gymkhana: "Figure Eight Photography" "Out of the Chute Photography"

Another friend of mine sells t-shirts that read...

"I train horses.... to eat carrots"

and

"My horse is only afraid of two things...
1. Things that move. 2. Things that don't move."
