Hi Guys,
I just picked up a T1i for my birthday and my sister is looking into getting me a bag combo. She is looking at this

If you guys have any other suggestions or more offers (extra battery/charger etc) that would be great

nice price, but don't go cheap on a tripod. You don't want it breaking down on you and dropping your new camera. Most peep with suggest to get Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod or the Manfrotto 055XPROB depending how tall you are. As for the mount, get Manfrotto 488RC2. This setup is very popular on this forum.
As for bag, its just gonna fit your kit lens and body. No room to expand. Plus if you are going to carry the tripod with you, the bag can't hold the tripod, making you hand carry it. Get a bag that can fit more than just 1 lens/body and can carry a tripod with it. Bhphoto is selling Kata bags with $25 gift cards along with certain Kata bags. Might be good looking into. If you want something small and can carry alittle more, try the Lowepro Flipside 200.

Take a peek at the tripod in my sig, it's more than capable and very sturdy. Adorama has it with a bag for under $120

My kata 467 bag just arrived today along with the gift card. Just spent it on another piece on BHphoto. The flipside can hold 3 lens, and 1 body with lens no problem. Just don't get any long lens and you're good. The bag is small and compact which I like. Still debating if I should sell my Flipside 200, its only 2 months old and I already found a replacement for it. :(

The kata bag is a much better choice, as for a tripod, for under $70 I would keep scanning ebay and Craigslist for a used Manfrotto. The store ones for under $70 are designed for lightwieght camera's and will be a liability with an SLR on them.
