In my quest to add some lenses to my selection, I bought some used goodies off of ebay. One of the lenses is the Tokina 100mm macro lens. It has obviously been used, has a couple specs of dust on the inside elements but seems to work well. My question is, should I keep it, or resell it. I have a 25mm extension tube and a 70-200 2.8 IS, is that a better setup than the extension tube and Tokina?

Forgive me for the obvious question, but have you tried using it?
You have this equipment in the palm of your hands and you're asking the world for their opinion of it's usefulness to you?

I really truly don't mean to sound harsh, but surely the ONLY person in the world that can answer this question is you. Some of us might have this lens, and may even have compared it to the Canon zoom and ext tube combo. But we have no idea; how often you need a 100mm macro, what tripod setup you use for the zoom, whether you can afford to keep such a lens in your bag for the amount of use it would get, what you paid for it, whether it is a good sample, etc. etc.:o:o

Yes, I have snapped a couple pics with it, but have not converted them from raw yet. I also got a Tamron 17-35 which has been my main focus for testing. I will try and post some example pics. I have noticed that the autofocus seems slower than Canon lenses, but that is a given.
