Yes, these are difficult birds! Funny, I just got done talking about all this on another RWB shot: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=79342
Great focus on the eyes, nice catchlight. Great catch of the movement - the tail and wing positions are awesome. Excellent feather detail, though it could use a pinch more contrast if you can believe it. All in all a very nice shot.

Thanks for the comments Scottes. Maybe I have my monitor up too high.

That is a nice shot Crush. The lens you're using sure doesn't hurt things either. It's a little short for birds, but you managed well on this shot.

I find RWBBs to be very difficult to shoot. You did a good job on this one.
First, you got the reflection in the eye. You got both wing patches, not just one side or the other. You have some wing feather texture. You have the natural environment where the bird lives.

Nicely done!
I've been trying to master shooting black birds and it's not easy! The light has to be just right, surroundings in the same tonal range and ect....
You captured details very well!
Altough you should add just a wee bit of contrast to blacken the bird a bit...
Kool shot!
Marc.
