Yes Blackbirds are hard to get, I'm quite pleased with this one.

That's a very nice picture! Except for the color, it looks very much like our American Robin. :)

Great work Malcolm! You're right about it being hard work to capture a good shot of a Blackbird, I've been trying hard without any success (yet!). Well done. :D

Great shot, but are you sure they're hard to shoot? We have quite a few down here (Essex) we have a pair nesting in our garden that will happily feed on the lawn while we're in the garden. I would take some shots but unfortunatly I don't really have the lense for it.

i think he men't there hard to shoot to get a nice shot and they are, this is a very nice shot and the colour look's right to me as they are not all black more a dark brown.
