Crops would really bring these beasts into proper focus for me.:D Like the first one.

Not enough contrast in the first 2. The background distracts from the subject. The highlights on the horse's shoulder in the 1st one are blown out. The last one is best but I would have cropped out the upper portion (perhaps 16x9).

Is it any better in color? Also cropped the first one a little bit more... thoughts?

Beautiful! Now maybe even a tighter crop getting that horse out of dead center?

Ok one more try ;-)... how's this?

I had to do some dodging and burning to lighten his face, fade out some grass stains, etc. for the color version.... and i burned around his left side to make him not blend into the snow so much... can you tell? Does it look ok? Sorry for so many questions, I REALLY appreciate your feedback!

Thanks! He's an awesome horse...acts like a big dog really...and will follow you around anywhere (and come running when you call him). He's my mom's baby... trying to get some good shots of him as a surprise christmas gift...especially because he is getting older. :(
