I have a 40D. I am looking for a macro for my biology internship at school. I am a single mother and full time student. I need to take incredible close up pictures of an endangered species. This wil further my career in my field of biology and health science. I just don't don't have the money to pay for a brand new lens. I'm living off school loans. Thank you so much if you are willing to sell me a macro at a fair price.

there are ways to do macro for very cheap
you can find a lens-body reverse ring, or a lens-lens reverse ring
do a search on ebay for macro reverse ring, and make sure each side matches the filter size for your lenses (50 1.4 = 58mm - not sure about your 18-55 lens)... you should be able to get that for less than $10
you could also look for cheap extension tubes...

all of those solutions will have you focusing manually as well...

2nd lens in the listing. PM me a reasonable offer (I am pretty lenient) if you are interested. Longer macro lenses help you shoot bugs

Please tell me more about your work. I've done quite a bit of shooting of these butterflies and am most interested in any other photo activity surrounding these rare little critters.
