So I've had a few requests for stop motion lately (I'm not sure if I should blame that amazon commercial or not), but this is one I did for fun to help with a class project. Shot entirely with my 50D, compiled and produced with Windows Movie Maker. Any and all comments welcome.

Fantastic. Great effort put into this and, boy, does it show! Great job.

Hate to say it but I thought it was boring... music was upbeat and video wasn't. The text and the visuals could've been mixed up a bit more creatively in my opinion. I did enjoy the street scene :)

Did you notice the spelling error in "Timeliness".
That sort of music is not my cup of tea although mixes reasonably rhytmically with the images.

To me it looks a bit like a "quick job". With a bit more care and precision it would have been more impressive.

Thank you all for the comments. To give a little more background, the assignment was to do either a minute-ish of audio or video (I'm guessing a lot of people just sat in front of a webcam and talked) or 4 pages of writing saying what they learned over the semester, and post it to the blog they've been keeping for the class.

vk2gwk, I didn't notice the spelling error until you pointed it out, I wish I had posted for critique before she turned it in. And yes, it was a quick job, and helping with the pictures in my free time, I didn't put the care and effort in on my side I should have, and it's finals week for her, so it was rushed on her end too. I was afraid it might show a bit.

Drowned, the issue became time constraints. I actually shot a couple more scenes that she had to cut out (she bought a toy gun, and drew a visual representation of "trouble" to do "trouble shooting") because of time. But trying to keep it around a minute didn't leave a lot of time to do separate cuts of text unfortunately. As for the music, that was probably the hardest decision. Although I had a ton of fun plugging in different songs to it (imagine the teacher watching it and having "my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard" kick in). And she didn't want a song with lyrics to distract from the text, so that's what she ended up with on my suggestion, the guitar-ed out version of Pachelbel's Canon.

And thank you bigfrost and apollo for your comments as well. I had a lot of fun doing it. The traffic stop motion especially is something I've been wanting to get out and do for a while, but I always told myself "well I'll just wait until I'm in a big city to do it", but just at an intersection in my relatively small town it worked out pretty well. I'll still make time to find a bridge up in Chicago or something one of these days.

Thank you all again for the comments, any others are still welcome.
