i found this canon IXUS 4.0mp camera (SD300 in the states) and after inspectioning it i found out that the LCD was cracked...theres lines running from the upper-right hnd side down to the middle....and the case has a little dent...after opening it the part with the dent is not broken....and the liquid did not spill on the inside of the camera. it seems that it might have been thrown or dropped from a moving car because i found it in the middle of the street. I dont think it was ran over bucause the it right right smack in the middle. So any suggestions if i its worth fixing or not. does any know if theres any good repair shops in Los Angeles CA? thnx for the help...really appreciate it

silly question: does it still work?
a broken LCD or some dents may not interfere with the camera's core functionality which is taking pictures. pop in a battery and see if it works.
if not, the repair cost is probably going to be the same as getting a new one. you might want to see if Samy's camera in LA (near farmer's market, i think) can give you a quote; or come down to irvine and visit the canon service center.
