Which One A510 Or A520

Planning on buying either a510 3.2 mega pixels or a520 4 mega pixels. I have read some of the reviews and it seems like the 510 got better ones then 520. I just was wondering if it is worth the extra money to get the 520 just for the .8 more pixel count? Would it make that much of a difference?:rolleyes: Right now I have A40.

Go ahead and buy the A510. I had a big time deciding to get the A70 or the A80 long time ago. A70 is 3.2 MP and A80 is 4.0 MP but the pixel difference isn't much and now I am happy I got the A70. Real Nice pictures cincophoto. Yea I will probably go that route and get the A510 and use the extra money to buy a bigger memory card and a new adapter for it. I already have the close up lens and the super wide macro lens and the 2.4 telephoto lens(which I hope I can use) the wide converter. And 4 different filters. So I should be a happy camper for awhile:lol: :lol:

Same with me. I was deciding between the A75 and A85. One thing that people do not consider which is more important than Mpixels is the surface size of the pixel. As I remember it the A85 had the same size CCD as the A75, therefore the A75 pixels where larger. I am quite happy with the A75. It is sharp and color accurate out of the camera. I have many 8x10's from it and they are great. I have friends with 5 and 7 Mpixels that don't even come close.

BTW, I like the fact that the A510 is a A75 with 4x zoom and only 2 AA batteries. This should lighten the package. You will not be unhappy. When you get it, try out the panorama mode, its fun.

yea the 4x is what perked my interest. Yea it has the sd card, so I will have to buy a larger one. Which makes my daughter happy cause she has a Canon S1 which takes the cf card, so she gets my 512.

Just got an A510 BUT it comes with an MMC card (16MB!). I have now a bunch of SD cards from mu A7) which are totally useless! When I go on the net I get all kinds of offer for multimedia cards but can never be sure which is the correct one to use. Any suggestions?

Best Buy and Circuit City now sell both the A510 and A520 for the same price, $200. So now it seems like A520 is better because it has more MP for the same cost, right?
