These are Black Vultures. As you can see, their wingspan is a little shorter than Turkey Vulture, but the wings are broader.
C/C welcome.

I posted some Turkey Vulture shots earlier at http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=78436

Nice shots, cfc!
You must have picked one of the most difficult of subjects--black bird against the sky.

No C&C to offer, Sorry. IMHO, you take shots of these guys as you can. They are a bit dark, but what can you do? I dont think your fill flash would have done much good at those distances. These look like they may have been cropped?

Great in-flight shots, CFC. Some pp might bring out the color, but you have some nice detail as is.

You must have picked one of the most difficult of subjects--black bird against the sky. Thanks Bonnie! Now i have the excuse to claim my subject is not underexposed. It's just black. http://initial-d.com/forums/images/smilies/sweat.gif

Tough shots. I like them. Thanks Rob. Glad to hear that. ;)

Great in-flight shots, CFC. Some pp might bring out the color, but you have some nice detail as is. Thanks tupe. When they hovered over my head, I waited a little until the sun shine on part of them. At least won't come out 100% black. :D

Thanks for looking, everybody.
