Need help on capturing motion shots with my Ixus v2??

Hi, all...
I'm noob in digi cam. I just bought a ixus v2 a week ago. And i'm unable to taking motion shot.

I don't even how to figure out the setting to change the shutter speed.

All I know is I can only change the shutter speed to 1-15 under night mode.

And I have no clue what exactly that means.

One more question, what is "self-timer" and what's it function for???

I don't own an IXUS V2 but what you are describling can usually be found in the menu selections. You will have to change to one of the other modes namely Program AE or Manual to access these features. The self-timer is like the self-timer on an analogue camera, you activate it and then get into the picture. After ten seconds or whatever the time limit is, the camera takes the picture automatically. If you bought the camera new, I presume it came with an instruction manual?
