Taken at an old Inn in Bucharest. I was attracted by the complex pattern of the railings. I like the variation in colors, too. Canon S500, with some telephoto. I find that I take most of my photos using the telephoto setting of the lens.

Its an interesting concept but for it to work I think you need something which will lead your eye into the image

Thanks for your comment, David. I can see your point. I even considered whether there was anyway to crop this image to bring out a "lead-in" feature, and decided that there wasn't, for me at any rate. When I look at this image, I find that my eyes are attracted most to the two closest posts at the left center, on the horizontal landing. For some reason, I personally like the feel of this image - it is in part due to the interplay of the different colors.

Harold,
Each image works in different ways for different people...I do like the image and the concept, the angles and verticals - it's the "body language" if you like of the image that puts me off - it's as if you were to sit with your arms folded its not inviting/welcoming to others.

I had a little play with your image (hope you don't mind) and here's two ideas that might help. Basically I've cropped and used the Transform Tool in PS to Skew and correct the perspective - increased the levels and saturation and then coverted to B&W, then to Sepia.

David, thanks for taking the time and effort to work with my image. I tried cropping, following in your footsteps. I like the fact that the distracting structure in the first landing is removed, as well as the far right post. I'll still stick with the color version, however.:)

You're welcome and although I did the B&W and the Sepia I think I also prefer the colour version - best to explore all avenues!
