OK, I've been wanting to try this flowing water shot for a long while (my wife does NOT like them - I do). So today we went on a short hike at Falls Creek near Carson, Washington. The day was a bit overcast and I discovered the difficulty even with overcast - no ND filters. So here is one try at flowing and one straight shot. As always, comments and critique are welcome and appreciated. Re-editing is perfectly OK too.

The first seems slightly out of focus - possible camera shake?
The second one:
A 2 second exposure at f36 has blown out the highlights - it also looks very green/yellow perhaps try altering the curves and bringing some blue back in to calm the green down.
Other than that I do like the compositon of both images - with the first a slight counter clockwise rotation might help.
Cheers

Meerkat17,
Thanks for your response. I am reviewing the photos now. I see what you might mean with #1 and don't see a post process fix for that (I shot these in raw). #2 is something I would like to work on. Could you get more specific as to areas when you say the highlights are blown out? I would like to see if I can do something with them but I'm not all that sure what I'm working on. Is it primarily the water? I like my pictures overly saturated and know that's not everyones taste so I may have over-compensated on this a bit.
Again, I really appreciate your comments and suggestions. It's how I learn.

Yes, he let me know that's it. I just wanted to make sure there was not another area that I wasn't seeing that was considered blown out. I have a bunch to process from this same hike so perhaps I'll come across another that works better.
Thanks for you input. It's a pretty neat place and quite accessible from where we live. I would really like to try some early morning sun there too.
