What settings would you recommend to have the most flexible option when post processing the movie. Lets say I want to be able to create standard speed and slow motion from what I recorded? What shutter speed in this case I should use? I read that for movie look it's good to use 1/50, for Private Ryan crisp look 1/125 or 1/160 .

Depends where you live. Using 1/50 in a 60hz zone will be very bad if you also have 24p or 25fps.
