Anyone ever noticed the straight shadow that is formed between Pallas and Murchison going from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock, when the terminator is at this phase ?

Just been reading that the crators ( both ) were already in existance , before an asteriod slammed into the northwestern quadrant. This resulted in both crators being filled with lava from the impact of the asteriod. The force was that great that the flow broke through the wall of Pallus and into Murchison.

The deeply shadowed crater to the west of Murchison is Murchison A , it's five miles in diameter and 3000 ft deep !!!

I need a 14" SCT or a 18" reflector !!! I would so like to image some of the rilles on the surface.
