Yes I am monitoring - just not this afternoon (Belgium time) for a couple hours. Sorry for anyone who felt like their pictures were held captive - that wasn't the idea at all.

I've removed the offensive ones and put the non-conforming ones (no mirror, no camera) in a separate ad-hoc album.

Hoping you'll consider posting again! :o

Ok here's what I did:
DRebel on tripod, EFS 18-55 kit lens zoomed to 28mm,
Camera on manual mode, 1/2 second at f/4, 100 ISO, infrared remote w/ 2 second delay.
Promaster 7500DX flash unit near the camera, pointed straight up, slave mode, full power.
Fuji Finepix 2400 P&S camera in my hands.
I took a shot with the room lights on to get the DRebel to autofocus, then switched to manual focus to keep it there.
Turned the room lights off, hit the remote to fire the DRebel, then the shutter on the Fuji.
The Fuji has about a 1 second shutter lag, but with practice, I could time it so the P&S fired during the 1/2 second the DRebel shutter was open. The flash from the P&S fired the slave which provided the fill light. With very little ambient light there was no problem with subject movement.
The only post processing was a minor exposure adjustment with DPP and cropping.
Took me about 10 tries to get it right.
