I'm new to PhotoShop CS2. Tried to get some of the noise out but kind of like it the way it is.

Thanks for any comments.

It looks very good, the noise is distracting though.. a lot of people here use either noise ninja or neat image for noise.. I think both have trial downloads you can use.

Thanks. I'll try those. Maybe I like it because subject is grandaughter Caitlin.

I like it with the noise but think you should crop differently to remove the busy background and convert into B&W.

Hope you don't mind but I had a go with your image and here's what I came up with.

Nice shots, lots of potential. I've had a bit of a play with it, hope you don't mind. The first is after noise reduction with noise ninja, and a bit of gaussian blur to reduce noise a bit more and smooth the skin. Then I upped the saturation. The second is with an action I found called midnight sepia, and the last is with a plugin called vivid fog.

Wow! Thanks alot. When I feel I'm doing fairly well with post processing, I put a pic up here to see how it's really done.:D I like each one!

Thanks again

Glad you like 'em :) I'm new to photoshop, getting the "Photoshop for photographers" book by scott kelby helped me a lot.

Try to original (no noise) picture in black and white, then add a little more contrast. I think that will make for a nice shot. I'm not a fan of the other modifications though. Not a soft filter kind of guy I guess.

Nothing wrong with the original, aside from too much shadows in her face that needs to be lightened. The ones posted by others make her looklike she has make up or or it's a painting- very unnatural.

yeah, she's very cute "as is." You don't need to soften the image to cover up bad skin or anything. And the excessive color adjustments make her look fake. That's an interesting artistic look, though. I like some of them, but she's so cute to begin with that I think a more natual look really suits her.

I like the original processing with the right cropped off. Looks a bit like film. She's so cute that you could probably process her 30 ways & she'd still look good!
