Hello All,
I love doing macros, usually flowers. My son asked me to take some shots of his "mage knight figures" (yea I didn't have a clue either) I did OK, I think. My question is what lens would get me richer detail at this level. This figure is literally 1 inch tall. I shot this using 55mm (kit lens), f/5.7, 1/60. Any thoughts about what would work better?

Suspect you can get a better shot with the kit lens just by getting more DOF. I'd try shooting it with the popup flash up and use Manual mode with settings like 1/100th, F11 to F16, ISo 100.,
or try similar settings on a tripod in Av mode with natural light but obviously much longer shutter speed.
