lost and found

Went running in a nearby forest earlier and found this little fella on the road. I think he'd left his net too early and was just plain exhausted, so I brought him home with me, gave him some warm water, took a pic and sent him on his way. Poor little sparrow. Not a great shot but I.m a sucker for a pretty face.

Little guy looks too young to be out on his own.:( I find lots of baby birds like this. I typically just take them to some sort of animal shelter that'll take care of them until they're old enough to fend for themselves. Otherwise, they just become cat food.:cry:

He sat on my shoulder all the way home. Our house is like a zoo! My better half always looks worried when he comes through the door cause he never knows what new beast is being looked after! Poor love.... he's very patient with me!
