As the sun was going down I managed to make this photo of a deer in a field.
I like the colors in the photo. Wonder what you think of it ?

It's a great picture, but the shadows are a bit underexposed. Was it RAW? Any chance of bringing out some detail that's hiding in there? Even a little detail would help, I think.

Thank you for reply.
Photo is beside cropping straight from camera. Shot in JPEG small.
I also think that the body of the deer is too dark.
As I'm not very good with PS i wonder how you can make it lighter in PS or better what have I done wrong with regard to lightning when taking the photo.
Sunset in a field with a lot of high trees around it, deer is walking east so sun in the back.

I agree - I like the colors in this picture. I also think that the body of the deer is too dark.
As I'm not very good with PS i wonder how you can make it lighter in PS....I tried a tweak in PS for the dark areas. I can post it if you like.
These are good general steps for brightening very dark sections of a picture:
1. Select the dark area with the magic wand.
2. Brighten the selection with levels.
3. Turn down the saturation of the selection to remove bright color artifacts.
4. Set opacity and flow of the history brush to about 35% and remove any distortions.

Thank you for the effort. Difference in not big.
To get away the shadows I guess I will have to go back again and see if I can get a photo of a deer in full evening sunlight. !

What kind of deer is it? I like the colors.
This is the name I found through google (Capreolus capreolus L)
As I don't know the English word for this deer, I hope you can trace It by the Latin name.
Can you let me know what the English name is ?
