We saw this one in the yard and I ran and got the camera. It was kinda dark so I tried using the flash but, I didn't do too good with it. I think this is a baby Porcupine...anyone know for sure.

I dont think it's a Porcupine, as it seems to lack the long quills they are known to have. At a pinch, I'd have to believe nitsch about it's being a Hedge Hog.

I'd have to agree about it being a hedge hog. Porcupines are darker, like a black with longer quills aren't they?

Dont know what a baby porcupines looks like, but I agree with nitsch that it is a hedgehog, great for ridding your garden of slugs and snails.

And they are literally COVERED in fleas! :D

it is for sure a hedgehog (a European hedgegog ...Erinaceus europaeus found in all of europe and western russia) and as nitsch said its as well you didn't pick it up...it would have rolled into a ball and hundreds (literally ) :) of fleas would have jumped onto you and started sucking your blood.......:mad:
