User manuals

Although canon UK appears to have current camera manuals I can't find them for lenses or the flashguns. My 1yr old managed to soak my 430EX Mk II manual with tea this morning and it has not survived well. It would be nice to download a copy.

So would it be appropriate to have a section for Manuals? OR is there a problem with copyright? Would it be inappropriate to ask people if they could send copies of manuals privately?

Canon USA are usually good when it comes to downloadable manuals.

I has assumed that the official Canon site would lead me to the manual, but it seems the UK branch has less fruit on it!

I've been trying to find information on the Canon UK site regarding older film cameras. For such a large organisation, it has to be said that their website could be a lot more user friendly. I really struggled and I had similar problems when looking for upgrades to some of my Canon software.
