Shot these photos this evening ( June 15). Very rare bird here on the east coast, also really stretching the lens on my G3 with the 1.75 converter. The photos are not the quality of some of the others on the forum but it is such a rare bird here I just had to share.

Very nice shots of a beautiful bird, Reigh. We see them a lot in Florida. The brownish ones migrate there for the winter, but a gray variety stays there permanently. I love it when the males do their courting dance, hopping all over.

Very nice shots, i agree with sparker1, we see them quite often and they are beautiful birds, quite large as well.

Very Nice. I keep trying to get something good of the cranes at Cherry Creek Res. but they are pretty stealthy...

Nice capture Reigh. I see one every couple of years but have never gotten a photo.
