Is the black car one of those old taxis? Those are great, but this one doesn't seem quite tall enough. 2nd generation maybe?

Frank ... actually, those are HUGE (at least by European standards)... I think it only looks small in the image.

Take a look at the driver in the second one, it gives you a measure. The old one and the new one are about the same size.

Best regards,
Andy

Take a look at the driver in the second one, it gives you a measure. You're right. I wasn't sure if it was the cab size, or WA perspective.

Funny how they drive on the same side of the street as American cab drivers.

Gee! That's the way they drive in Boston, but it's not to pick up passengers it's to see how many they can hit.     I see they still have the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car.

when in New York I had to hold out a map for the 'foreign' taxi driver (english speaking was scarce) , leaning over him as he spun around the city, to show him where he was
and where we wanted to go http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
it was my fourth visit, and probably his first

thrilling taxi rides at the best of times(pun, times square)
but I wouldn't change them for anything
it's all part of the magic of New York
